iPhone 12 - do I take the plunge?

For context, my contract is due up next month. I currently do the majority of my work on a MacBook Air, and figured it would make sense to get an iPhone to go with it. But I've been an Android user all my life, so I'm a little nervous diving into iOS. Considering my MacBook, is an iPhone the right choice?

There are a lot of nice features blending iOS and macOS, I've switched my work phone to iPhone to work better with my macbook

I use a Macbook, iPhone and iPad - each of them synergises with the other (I mean the OS on each is pretty much the same).

The iPhone 12 is also a lovely phone with a great camera.
